MONDO™ Wall Putty
Ready to use , Multi-Purpose Putty
MONDO® Wall Putty is a high quality water-based ready to use putty suitable for interior and exterior applications. It is used to fill in cracks and holes in walls and prepare an even and smooth wall surface before paint application.
MONDO® Wall Putty is easy to apply with its perfect consistency and dries fast with excellent sanding property to provide a flawless matte finish.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Concrete Surfaces: Detailed instructions for new painting (cleaning, curing for 28 days, neutralizing) and repainting (mildew removal, sealing chalky surfaces).

Wood Surfaces: Instructions for new painting (sanding, patching holes) and repainting (paint removal, patching imperfections).
PRODUCT PREPARATION
• Mix 10 parts MONDO Skimcoat SK-1 1K to 3.5 - 4.0 parts clean tap water (20kg bag MONDO SK-1 to 7.50-8 liters water). Use a plastic pail, add MONDO Skimcoat SK-1 by increments to water and mix thoroughly to a homogeneous, lump free mixture.
• Use a hand drill-electric mixer for 2-3 minutes to attain a smooth and creamy paste.
• Allow the MONDO Skimcoat SK-1 water mixture to stand for 3-5 minutes and re-stir prior to application.
• Mix only a sufficient amount that can be applied in 30 mins - 1 hour. Warm exterior conditions will shorten pot life.
• Do not add water to extend pot life as excess water will affect the final performance properties of the skimcoat.
APPLICATION

Tools: Use a putty knife for application.

Practical Coverage: 15-18 sqm per 4L per coat, though this varies based on surface porosity.

Drying Time: 1-2 hours.

Recommended Painting Systems
The putty is used as an intermediate step in various painting systems:

Standard Concrete: Apply one coat of primer (e.g., Megacryl® Concrete Primer), followed by MONDO® Wall Putty as needed, then another coat of primer/sealer and two topcoats of Megacryl® Topcoat Finish.

Wood: Apply one coat of Timber® Concrete Primer & Sealer, then MONDO® Wall Putty as needed, followed by a coat of Megacryl® Concrete Primer and two topcoats of Megacryl® Topcoat Finish or Aqua Gloss-It.
