Can you apply Mondo Skimcoat in existing top coat paint?
 
Yes, but the topcoat must be sanded thoroughly and skim coat application should be thin. So that the applied compound would adhere properly
2. Can you apply Mondo Skimcoat while plaster is still wet?
No, New concrete must be cured 5-7 days before applying Mondo Skim Coat. And the surface or substrate should be dry and free from other contaminants.
3. When applying cementitious waterproofing, is it possible to NOT apply topcoat on it?
No, waterproofing is responsible for protection against water penetration and vapor intrusion but not to other elements such as UV Rays.
4. What paint can I use after applying Mondo Skimcoat?
You can apply water-based or solvent-based paints, but for best results we will recommend to apply any Davies Paints water-based or solvent-based paint.
5. What should we apply first, Skimcoat or Cementitious Waterproofing?
Cementitious waterproofing should be applied first prior to skim coat. Skim coat is used for smoothening our substrate prior to painting while waterproofing is used to protect our structure against water seepages.
